vita: Achim Reisdorf (* 1967 in Freiberg/ Saxony) studied Geology in Freiberg/ Saxony and Tübingen. He is currently working on his PhD at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology in Basel. His thesis is on the Lower Jurassic in Northern Switzerland. Another focal point of his research is the taphonomy of vertebrates in general and that of ichthyosaurs in particular.
Besides geology, music is his great passion. His listening habits cover almost all kinds of music. He most prefers that which transcends the limitations of its genre.

Achim Reisdorf (* 1967 in Freiberg/Sa.) studierte in Freiberg/Sa. und Tübingen Geologie. Zur Zeit promoviert er in Basel am Geologisch-Paläontologischen Institut über den Unter-Jura der Nord-Schweiz. Ein weiterer Forschungsschwerpunkt ist die Taphonomie von Wirbeltieren im weiteren und die von Ichthyosauriern im engeren Sinne.
Neben der Geologie ist seine große Leidenschaft die Musik. Seine "Hörgewohnheiten" decken nahezu alle Genres ab und sind bevorzugt in spartenübergreifender Musik Zuhause.
statement: Apart from the artistic challenge, by planning and organizing musical projects I want to raise awareness for problems in recent climate-development as well as for nature and environmental protection. Aditionally, I try to do my part in making Natural History Museums more appealing to the public again.

Mit der Konzeption und Organisation von Musik-Projekten möchte ich - neben der künstlerischen Herausforderung - für die Problematik der aktuellen Klima-Entwicklung sowie des Natur- und Umweltschutzes sensibilisieren. Des Weiteren suche ich beizutragen, dass naturkundliche Museen in der Öffentlichkeit wieder neuen "Anklang" finden.
